Calanque de la Galère, also known as “the submarine” due to the shape of its rock, is a true haven of peace nestled between Bandol and Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer. ROUTE DES CRETES
The Route des Crêtes, which links Cassis to La Ciotat, is truly impressive. It runs along the Soubeyranes cliffs, among the highest in Europe, and overlooks the sea, offering an exceptional panoramic view.
Every Sunday, this iconic road returns to calm. Traffic is reserved for pedestrians and gentle modes of transport (scooters, bicycles, electric bikes, etc.). To access it, shuttle buses run from the Gorguettes car park to the start of the Route des Crêtes. It is also possible to rent electric bikes on site.

Located off the coast of Hyères, Port-Cros Island is a true natural paradise. Designated a National Park in 1963, it is one of the best-preserved natural areas in the Mediterranean. With its wild coves, lush forests and crystal-clear waters, Port-Cros offers a unique experience for nature lovers. The island is accessible by boat from Hyères.
Port-Cros is the wildest of the Hyères Islands. No vehicles circulate here, and nature reigns supreme. Visitors can discover a protected environment where Mediterranean wildlife and plant life have been preserved for several decades.

Hiking in the Heart of Unspoilt Nature
The island is crossed by numerous signposted trails that allow visitors to discover its exceptional landscapes. The hikes offer spectacular views over the Mediterranean Sea and the neighbouring islands. All trails are signposted and mainly start from the village of Port-Cros.
- Sentier des Plantes : an accessible circular trail from the village, lasting approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, ideal for discovering the island’s flora and enjoying beautiful viewpoints.
- Circuit des Crêtes : a more challenging route of approximately 3 hours, offering spectacular views over the sea and the islet of La Gabinière.
- Port-Man : a longer and fairly demanding forest hike leading to a large, wild bay, taking approximately 3 hours.
- Sentier des Écrivains : a shaded and cultural trail lasting approximately 3 hours.
- Underwater trail at La Palud Beach : a unique snorkelling experience with buoys and underwater information panels.

BANDOL WINES
Covering an area of 1,600 hectares, the Bandol wine region is spread across eight towns in the Var department: Bandol, Le Beausset, Le Castellet, La Cadière-d’Azur, Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer, Sainte-Anne-d’Évenos, Sanary-sur-Mer and Ollioules.
Protected to the north by the Sainte-Baume Massif, which rises to 1,147 metres, the Bandol vineyards descend in terraces towards the sea, forming a magnificent amphitheatre surrounded by wooded hills.
The region produces exceptional AOC red and rosé wines—delicious Provençal wines to be enjoyed in moderation.

Estibus shuttles: making getting around easier
In addition to the ZOU route, the Estibus network serves the main districts of Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer and makes everyday travel easier during the summer season.
The shuttles provide access to:
- Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer’s town centre;
- Les Lecques port;
- the beaches;
- shops;
- Provençal markets;
- the main tourist attractions.
Free park-and-ride facility in Bandol
Free shuttles take you to Bandol town centre. Park your vehicle for free at one of the park-and-ride facilities — Carrefour Market (1 km from the campsite), Intermarché or Super U — then let the shuttle take you into the town centre. Shuttles run every 15 minutes from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. The service will operate until 21 August.
